Massimo Buonanno began playing drums at age 13 in his native Egnach, Switzerland and, as a prodigy he quickly created demand for his skillful playing in the local music scene.

«The Rhythmind», produced by Massimo at age 15, was his first solo recording. In 2005, Massimo attended The Drummer’s Collective, a world reknowned Drummer School in New York, on a full scholarship. He studied with several famous musicians such as Kim Plainfield, Ian Froman, and Marco Djordjevic.

The Berklee College of Music, Boston, awarded a partial scholarship for academic study to Massimo, which he completed in December , 2010. Massimo produced a short, 3D movie, titled «Dualphasenstahl» in cooperation with Kamerawerk, a Swiss production company, in 2010. 3DEE Central.com decribed the movie as follows:

«Dualphasenstahl» (that's pronounced doo-al-fah-zen-shtahhl), would suit the genre of «Industrial Music» rather perfectly: Anvils, pipes, and upturned steel buckets become impromptu musical instruments that are hammered and clanged upon to create a song that seems to be part Kraftwerk, part Stomp...with the additional bonus of a drum kit set on fire. It's a fantastic piece that made its way around the entire 3DeeCentral studio, as each person who watched it made a point of running over to someone else insisting «you have to see this!», and soon the entire office was clanging along with the video.

Massimo Buonanno is steadily gaining attention for his unique musicianship. With numerous performances at internationally recognized venues, musical awards, and a refreshingly original sound, he continues to expand his reputation as a talented and versatile musician.
